New Changes at Autodesk

Benefits of the New Agent Model

Starting in June Autodesk will transition to a new transaction model with the goal of better connecting Autodesk customers to digital assets, support, and services tailored to their needs and self-service capabilities. The goal is to provide these new resources while maintaining relationships with local partners like Tech Dispatch, so we can fulfill our role as client advocate and trusted advisor.

For over 20 years Tech Dispatch has provided Autodesk solutions and services to our clients. We have been through many changes during this time, and are excited for a new series of improvements.

Customers benefit from the partnership between Autodesk, a 9 billion dollar company with the resources of over 13,000 employees and Tech Dispatch, a local agent who can guide clients to available resources in a responsive and issue-specific manner.

What Are the Changes?

• Autodesk will transition its partner relationships from a reseller model to an agent model.

• An agent from Tech Dispatch will consult with you to determine your needs, and issue a quote, taking advantage of all available promotions and discounts.

• All transactions for renewals or new subscriptions will be conducted directly with Autodesk.

• Agents will earn our commissions and be paid directly by Autodesk.

Next Steps?

Each of our clients with Autodesk subscriptions should set up Autodesk as a vendor within their accounting system. You will want to be able to place orders direct with Autodesk under the new agent model. June 10, 2024 is the date for switching to this new transaction model. There will be a blackout period starting June 4th to June 10th where no orders can be processed of any Autodesk products including renewals or new subscriptions.

For clients with renewals coming due prior to June 10th, Tech Dispatch strongly recommends an early renewal. We will be working up renewal quotes and contacting you to help process your orders. We anticipated high demand with the upcoming change. We can avoid any unforeseen problems having your renewal completed early.

For clients with renewals after June 10th we still recommend an early renewal, but cannot process your renewal until 90 days prior to the expiration.
